at Historical El Campanil Theatre in Antioch

Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway is a celebration of the music that established Broadway as an American art form. Best known for his starring role as Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, Franc D’Ambrosio explains, “This is a one-person, two-act show along the lines of what Mandy Patinkin or Bernadette Peters might do.” But this has a twist, it’s the autobiographical tale of an Italian-American kid who goes from a family of bakers in the Bronx to Broadway and beyond. “I think of it as something like ‘Moonstruck’ meets Connie Francis,” D’Ambrosio says.
“I can’t call it ‘Sopranos: The Musical,’ but it’s an Italian-American mixture.”
