Township where the majority of Cape Town’s black population lives. Meet with locals to learn about their way of life.
Take a ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson
Mandela and other prisoners were held for decades. The tour is guided by a former political prisoner who will share his unique knowledge of the island.

Fly to Durban for game viewing safaris, beginning with a cruise to view crocodiles, hippopotami, and sea turtles. Enjoy a game drive in a reserve famous for its conservation of rhinos and home to elephants, Cape buffalo, lions and leopards, warthogs, and herd animals. Enter the Kingdom of Swaziland for an overnight stay.

Visit a traditional Swazi village to learn their way of life, sample their foods and enjoy a dance
presentations. Wander through the village with its many traditional huts and meet the local people.
Today’s game ride is through famous Kruger National Park elephants, giraffe, cheetah and others.

Travel to Johannesburg via spectacular Blyde River Canyon, cut deep into red sandstone, and Bourke’s Luck Potholes, a series of waterfalls and distinctive rock formations. Tour Soweto, driving by the former residence of Bishop Desmond Tutu and visiting both Nelson Mandela’s former home and the Apartheid Museum.

Fly from Johannesburg to New York, then San Francisco.
Return by motor coach to San Joaquin County.
