“tattoo” - a performance of military bagpipes, drum and bugle corps, precision drill teams, Celtic dancers, marching bands and color guards.

Day 1
Thurs.,  April 25th      To Virginia                                                                                                             (D)
Fly from San Francisco to Washington D.C. Travel to the Embassy Suites, Williamsburg for a two-night stay.

Day 2 Fri.,  April 26th       Colonial Jamestown & Yorktown                                                                        (B, D)
Walk in the steps of Captain John Smith and Pocahontas at Jamestown Settlement, America’s first permanent European settlement. Tour Yorktown’s American Revolution Museum with exhibits on the Siege of Yorktown and the entire Revolution. 

Day 3 Sat.,  April 27th        Colonial Williamsburg                                                                                                 (B, L, D)
Step into history at Colonial Williamsburg, the world’s largest living history museum where you will interact with costumed interpreters recreating life in the 1700s. Dine in a Williamsburg Tavern with Colonial cuisine. Stay two-nights at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside.
Day 4 Sun.,  April 28th            Hullabaloo &  Tattoo                                                                                            (B, D)
Attend the Hullaballo, the pre-show for tonight’s trip highlight and then the highlight itself, the Virginia International Tattoo, a patriotic and awe-inspiring spectacle of music and might. Dinner at Freemason Abbey.
Day 5 Mon.,  April 29th                 Outer Banks                                                                                       (B, D)
In the unspoiled Outer Banks visit the spot where man took flight at the Wright Brothers Memorial and take 
a wild ponies sightseeing adventure looking for horses  descending from those of Spanish Conquistadors. Climb 
the Currituck Lighthouse for a beautiful view. Stay two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn, Kittyhawk, N.C.  
Day 6 Tues., April 30th           Ocracoke Island                                                                                          (B, Box L)
A local guide shows off the Outer Banks including lighthouses at Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras & Ocracoke. Ferry to Ocracoke Island, so isolated that its native population still speak with an Elizabethan accent.
Day 7 Wed., May 1st            Quantico & Occoquon                                                                                      (B, L)
Visit Quantico National Cemetery and spend some time in charming, tiny town of Occoquon. Stay overnight at the Hampton Inn, Manassas, VA. 
Day 8 Thurs.,   May 2nd              Homeward Bound                                                                     (B)
Fly from Dullas International Airport to San Francisco, returning via motor coach to Manteca, Stockton and Lodi.
