Fly overnight to Cairo, Egypt’s capital city. Stay three nights at the Sheraton Cairo Hotel.
|Day 3 ||February 18th The Egyptian Museum (B) |
Visit the Egyptian Museum with its treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
|Day 4 ||February 19th The Great Pyramids & Cairo’s Old Bazaar (B, L) |
Tour the Giza Plateau and visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinos, as well as the famous Sphinx. Visit Cairo’s Old Bazaar.

Fly to Luxor and enter the impressive Karnak and Luxor Temples. Overnight onboard the MS Salacia, enjoying an upper suite for this Nile cruise.
|Day 6 ||February 21st Valley of the Kings _(B,L,D) |
Tour the Valley of the Kings with its hidden tombs for 62 Pharaohs as well ast the temple of Queen
Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Cruise to Edfu in the late afternoon.
|Day 7 ||February 22nd Kom-Ombo Temple (B, L, D) |
The temple Kom Ombo is home to the unique crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon-headed god, Horus. In the afternoon sail on to Aswan.
|Day 8 ||February 23rd Aswan Dam & Antiquities (B,L,D) |
Spend the day in Aswan. beginning with the High Dam annd then the beautiful Temple of
Philae, to the goddesses Isis and Hathor.
|Day 9 ||February 24th Fly to Cairo (B) |
Disembark from the Nile cruise and fly to Cairo for an overnight stay at the Sheraton Cairo before departing to Jordan.
|Day 10 ||February 25th Fly to Amman (B) |
Fly to Amman, Jordan staying at the Grand Hyatt.
|Day 11 ||February 26th Jerash (B) |
Visit Jerash, the best preserved provincial Roman town. Around its colonnaded main street, see the Temple of
Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch,and the Artemis Temple. Continue on to Saladin’s 12th century Arab castle, Qalaat al Rabad
(Ajloun), then take in Um Qeis a Greco-Roman town mentioned in the Bible and marvel at the sweeping view
of Lake Tiberias and the Golan Heights.
|Day 12 ||February 27th The Dead Sea, Petra by Night (B) |
At the Dead Sea, float in the highly salted water and relax at a resort hotel. This evening is Petra at Night, a candlelight show that gently illuminates the walls of the Siq and the Treasury.

Enjoy a guided tour of Petra’s many sites. Carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans, it was lost to civilization until re-discovered centuries later. In the mid afternoon, we will drive back to Amman. You will have time to enjoy dinner and rest before our departure to the airport at midnight.

We have an early morning flight on Qatar Airways that departs at 2:45 a.m. Fly to San Francisco returning by motorcoach to Manteca, Stockton and Lodi in the afternoon.
