Explore the highlights of Manhattan including Wall Street, the 9-11 Memorial & Museum, Central Park and the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Rockefeller Center, and much more. Take in optional Broadway performances while in New York City.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1
Thursday, May 1          Fly to Philadelphia                   (D)
Fly nonstop to Philadelphia and stay three nights at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. After checking in the hotel, enjoy our welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2
Friday, May 2          Museum of the American Revolution, Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell and a City Tour of Philadelphia              (B)
Visit the new Museum of the American Revolution, explaining the journey to our independence. Stand in the footsteps of our Founding Fathers at Independence Hall, where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted. Visit the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross Home, and the Benjamin Franklin Museum.

Day 3
Saturday, May 3     Longwood Gardens & the Winterthur Museum & Gardens  (B) 
Stroll through Longwood Gardens’ manicured landscape on a guided tour of one of America’s 
leading horticultural display gardens. Explore Winterthur Museum & Gardens, a du Pont family mansion turned museum. Take a nighttime walking tour of Historic Philadelphia. 

Day 4
Sunday,  May 4 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Wall Street, Greenwich Village        (B)
Depart Philadelpia and travel northeast to New York City. Visit the World Trade Center site and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum at Ground Zero. Walk along Wall Street’s concrete canyons, travel through the eclectic neighborhoods of Greenwich Village and SoHo, and stop for coffee and pastry in Little Italy. Enjoy an optional Broadway performance. 

Day 5
Monday, May 5 Lincoln Center, St. John the Divine & Central Park                      (L)
Travel to Manhattan’s Upper West Side to Lincoln Center and learn the history of this famous performing arts complex. Tour the exquisite Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the fourth largest Christian church in the world. View Harlem’s recent renaissance.  Stroll through Central Park and travel along the posh Upper East Side. Enjoy an optional Broadway performance.

Day 6
Tuesday, May 6           Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island                                                                       
Travel by ferry across the New York Harbor from Battery Park to Liberty Island, home of the Statue of Liberty.  Enjoy a guided tour of the island before our next stop, Ellis Island, which chronicles the journey of millions of immigrants to America.  Enjoy an optional Broadway performance. 

Day 7 Wednesday, May 7        Goodbye To New York City
Today we will conclude our time in New York City with some of the sites we may of  missed in the last three days. Visit Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station. Travel to the One World Observatory and go the top of the One World Trade Center for incredible views of the city.
