Stay three nights in New Orleans. Learn creole cooking, visit the WWII Museum and enjoy a 
Mississippi River jazz cruise. Stay three nights in Baton Rouge, taking a bayou cruise watching for alligators, touring Antebellum mansions in Natchez, MS, and traveling through Cajun country to the Tobasco factory on Avery Island.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Mon., Apr. 6      To New Orleans French Quarter                                                                          
Fly to New Orleans staying three nights at the Bourbon Orleans in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter with its charm and wrought-iron architecture.  
Day 2 Tues., Apr. 7      Jazz Cruise, Horse Carriage & the French Quarter                                    (B, L)
Board the Steamboat Natchez for a luncheon jazz cruise on the Mississippi. Explore the French 
Quarter on a narrated carriage ride and tour one of the city’s famous cemeteries. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the French Quarter, or join us for a ghost tour. 
Day 3 Wed., Apr. 8   Mardi Gras World, the Battle of New Orleans & School of Cooking      (B, D)
Learn the secrets of building Mardi Gras floats at Mardi Gras World where you will get up close to these beautiful creations. Visit the War of 1812’s Battle of New Orleans battlefield. The battle made Andrew Jackson a New Orleans hero. Tonight is sure to be a trip highlight a cooking demonstration and dinner at the New Orleans School of Cooking.
Day 4 Thurs., Apr. 9         WWII Museum & on to Baton Rouge                                                   (B)
Explore the outstanding World War II Museum, including”Beyond All Boundries” the 4D 
experience narrated by Tom Hanks, and “Final Mission” the USS Tang Experience, an interactive look at the final voyage of WWII’s most successful submarine. Travel to Baton Rouge for a three night stay at the Drury Inn. 
Day 5  Fri., Apr. 10        Natchez Mansions                  (B, L)
Travel through plantation country to historic Natchez, Mississippi, set on a bluff over the Mississippi River. Tour two antebellum mansions, Longwood and Stanton Hall, with lunch  at the Carriage House. Return to the hotel 
for happy hour and a light dinner.
Day 6  Sat., Apr. 11      Bayou Cruise                            (B, L)
Travel through Cajun Country to tour the Tobasco factory on Avery Island, a nature preserve with hundreds of egrets and other birds. Watch for alligators on a narrated cruise through the bayou. Return to the hotel for happy hour or  light dinner, or take the motorcoach to a nearby restaurant.
Day 7 Sun., Apr. 12     Homeward Bound                                   (B)
Fly to California, returning by motor coach to Manteca, Lodi and Stockton.

Activity Requirement- Moderate-
Staying in the French Quarter requires 
walking approximately 4-6 blocks at a time. 
Day 2 requires a 15 minute walk to the 
Steamboat Natchez and a 15 minute walk to the New Orleans School of Cooking. Some walking on dirt trails, stairs and standing on tours.
