Washington’s Cascade Loop is a tour of discovery; from the shoreline of Puget Sound, to the highest
peaks of the Cascade Range to Leavenworth, Washington’s “Little Bavaria” and home to an annual
theater festival. Discover gardens, cruise a mountain lake, and take in performances of “Bright Star”
and “The Sound of Music” where the hills truly are alive with the sound of music.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Tues., August 4th Fly to Seattle, Tour the Evergreen Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Continue on to Burlington in the Skagit Valley (L)
Fly to Seattle and enjoy an included lunch before heading north to Everett, home of the Evergreen
Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Take a docent-guided tour of its twelve themed gardens that
include 22 outdoor sculptures that punctuate the landscape. Continue to Burlington, in the heart of
the Skagit Valley, arriving at the Hampton Inn & Suites for the evening.
Day 2 Wed., August 5th North Cascades National Park, Cruise on Diablo Lake,Wine Tasting In The Lake Cheland Valley (B,L)
Discover North Cascades National Park, and alpine landscape of flora and fauna, it’s jagged peaks are
crowned by more than 300 glaciers. Cruise on glacier-fed Diablo Lake where you will hear the history
of the area, and the challenges of building the dams and powerhouses in a very remote location. Enjoy a hosted lunch at the beautiful lakeside North Cascades Environmental Learning Center. Have a taste of wine from the Lake Chelan valley region on the way to Wenatchee, nestled along the banks of the Columbia River. Head to the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel for the night.
Day 3 Thurs., August 6th The Leavenworth Music Festival, with the Musical Performance of "Bright Star" Written By Steve Martin (B,D)
Ohme Gardens sits on a rocky bluff above Wenatchee, with sweeping territorial views of the neighboring Cascades, and the Columbia River Valley. Enjoy lunch and shopping at Pybus Public Market. Then it is off to Leavenworth for a traditional dinner that welcomes you to Washington’s “Little Bavaria”, followed by a performance of “Bright Star”. Written by Steve Martin, the musical tells the story of a young writer in 1940's North Carolina, who uncovers a heartbreaking 1920's love story involving a literary editor, a forbidden romance, and a tragic loss - all told through soaring bluegrass melodies.
Day 4 Fri., August 7th Travel to Cashmere, Liberty Orchards Candy Factory, Reindeer Farm, and the of Performance of the "The Sound of Music" (B)
Travel to nearby Cashmere, home to Liberty Orchards, take a tour of the candy factory and check out the incredible gift shop. Visit the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm where you will enter the reindeer enclosure for feeding, photos, and interaction with the herd. Lunch is at your leisure in the village before an optional afternoon walking tour. Tonight's performance is the “Sound of Music” an annual favorite, staged in an outdoor amphitheater, with the North Cascade Mountains in the background providing a perfect setting for the production.
Day 5 Sat., August 8th Travel to Seattle,Visit the Boeing Museum and Depart for Home (B)
Say farewell to Leavenworth, bound for the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle. Discover the history of the Boeing Company, from bicycles to some of the largest jets on the planet. Tour a former Air Force One jet and a Concorde. Your flight home departs in the early afternoon.
