Day 1 | & 2. Fri., & Sat., May 1st & 2nd Fly to Venice, Italy (D)
Fly to beautiful Venice, Italy for a two-night stay. Upon arrival into Venice, we will transfer to our hotel by motor boat. Enjoy a hosted welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 | Sun., May 3rd St. Mark’s Plaza, Doges’ Palace & Bridge of Sighs (B)
Walk from Saint Mark’s area with an historical introduction to the most powerful maritime empire of the Mediterranean Sea. The Doges’ Palace (visit inside), the Square, the Basilica (outside) are highlights that must be seen for their beauty and historical importance. Our walk will continue to Bridge of Sighs, one of the most famous bridges in Venice.

Day 4 | Mon., May 4th Travel by Train Across Through Italy to Florence (B)
We will travel by train from Venice to Florence. This is a delightful scenic ride as you travel south from Italy’s Adriatic coast through Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. Spend three nights in Florence.

Day 5 | Tues., May 5th City Tour of Florence, Michelangelo’s David, The Cathedral (B)
Walking tour of the historical city center of Florence. Will visit the “Academy of Fine Arts” a
collection of some of Michelangelo’s artworks including two of his unfinished sculptures, the “Four Slaves” and “St. Matthew”, and of course, the awe-inspiring monumental figure of David. We then continue on to the central “Piazza del Duomo” where we canadmire the Cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery, showcasing Florentine Art from the Renaissance.

Day 6 | Wed., May 6th Tour of Tuscany, Chianti & Siena (B)
Enjoy a breathtaking journey through the rolling hills of Chianti with a tour that includes Siena,
San Gimignano, & Monteriggioni. Discover the medieval charm of Siena, with its stunning Piazza del Campo and magnificent Cathedral. Stroll through the enchanting streets of San Gimignano. Along the way, indulge in the region’s finest wines and traditional Tuscan flavors.

Day 7 | Thurs., May 7th Travel by Train to Rome (B)
We will travel by train from Florence to Rome. This is a beautiful scenic ride as you travel through Lazio and Tuscany. Spend three nights in Rome.

Day 8 | Fri., May 8th City Tour of Rome (B)
Today our city tour of Rome starts with a stop at majestic Trevi Fountain. We continue on to the Pantheon, one of the world’s oldest buildings. Visit some of the amazing squares in Rome with a stop at Pizza Navona. We will conclude our day with a tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Day 9 | Sat., May 9th Vatican Museum & St. Peters Basilica (B,D)
Tour the incredible Vatican Museum, with its exceptional collection of artworks from every era: containing amazing treasures of art collected by the Popes over centuries. Visit the impressive Sistine Chapel, built in the 15th century as a private chapel for the Popes. Marvel at Michelangelo’s masterpieces such as the impressive frescoed ceiling and, above all, its Last Judgement. Our tour will conclude with a visit to the majestic Basilica of St. Peter’s, the most impressive building and largest church in the world. Farewell dinner in Rome.

Day 10 | Sun., May 10th Arrivederci Rome & Fly Home (B)
Say goodbye to Rome and fly home to San Francisco.
Fly overnight to San Francisco, returning by motor coach to San Joaquin County.
